In the New Jersey Skylands, the South Branch of the scenic Raritan River flows through the Ken Lockwood Gorge. There are big rapids, huge boulders in the water, calm pools, and tall hemlocks dominating the banks.

Located in Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County, the 260 acre tract was purchased in 1948 through the State’s Green Acres Program and from hunting and fishing license fees.

The rugged limestone cliffs that frame this fly fishing river sanctuary were dedicated by Trout Unlimited to conservationist and fly fisherman, Ken Lockwood.
